Collaborative Research Centre AquaDiva: proposal is funded!

The proposal for establishing the AquaDiva Collaborative Research Centre (CRC AquaDiva) has been selected for funding by the German Research Foundation (DFG).

The CRC AquaDiva will focus on the important roles of water (Aqua) and biodiversity (Diva) for shaping the structure, properties and functions of the subsurface, defined as the zone that begins below the highest density of plant roots (~0.3 meters) and extends down into the first aquifers (~100 meters).

German Centre for Integrative Biodiversity Research, Opening Symposium in Leipzig

The iDiv Opening Symposium ‘Integrative Biodiversity Research – a young discipline under time pressure’ was held on April 19^th 2013. International experts held presentations about the perspectives of integrative biodiversity research.
